Film Casting

Dad-

For the dad we have chosen Leonardo DiCaprio. The reason we have chosen Leonardo DiCaprio to be the dad is because he is of that age and looks like a father figure so his age and face suits the character for our film. Another reason we have chosen Leonardo DiCaprio is because he has been in many thriller films before such as The Revenant, Shutter Island and The Departed so adapting to the role should be no issue as he done similar things before and is really good at it. Furthermore another reason we have chosen it is because he has worked with our director a number of times( Martin Scorsese) so they have really good chemistry, which will be very helpful when being in the working environment. In addition to this he has a large following so he brings a lot of star power to the table meaning there will already be a massive pre sold audience.

                                                                                          

Eldest Son- For the eldest son we have chosen Tom Holland. The reason we have chosen Tom Holland is because he is a very diverse up and coming actor who has proved himself during the audition process. He has recently been in the new Spiderman movies playing Spiderman so he brings a new and relatively young audience to the table. He has also been in other thriller films such as ‘Edge Of Winter’ and ‘The Lost City Of Z.’ Furthermore he is the right build and height and shape when we imagined the character in the first place so he suits the role very well.

Youngest Song- For the youngest son we have chosen Jacob Tremblay. The reason we have chosen Jacob Tremblay is because he is a young actor around about the same age as the character in the film so it is a perfect match. As well as this he is a very talented young man who has acted in Sci Fi thriller films before such as ‘Shut In’ and ‘Room.’

Killer- For the killer we have chosen J.K Simmons. We have chosen J.K Simmons because he suits the role in the way he looks and his size etc. He is a very experienced and well-known actor so he brings in a pre sold audience already.
